Single installation for multiple domains?

I have two domain names that point to the exact same site (on the same server). I’m aware that I will need a second license to track both domains, but I don’t want to install Mint twice.

The site domain(s) field in the preferences seems to indicate, that once I have the second license, I can simply add the additional domain.

But how do I use the activation code for the new domain? Or is this only needed during initial installation?

I couldn’t find a hint - I’m sorry, if this is has been answered before.

Could you not redirect the second domain to the first domain and then use the referal stats to track the hits from that second domain?

This sounds like a mirrored domain. In that case, you don’t need to two licenses or two installations, just add the second domain to the “Site Domain(s)” in your Mint preferences.

Thanks for your quick answers

@Hami

In fact, this could be a technical way to do it, but the customers doesn’t want that.

@Shaun

It works, great! Mint is so cool…

Hi Shaun

i’m on the same here, have one “main” domain interni-raumkonzept.ch and eight aliases. i’m right now setting it up, and i see the field “Site Domain(s)” however, i dont know what all to write in them. is it enough to just write the domains without www. or do i need “domain.com,www.domain.com” to track both?
