Hi Guys,
I’m planning to put a Mint on two sites.
Site 1 : Average 6000 unique/hour (140k/day) and over 400k pageviews/day
Site 2 : Average 4000/hour and over 250k pageviews/day
The mint will reside on a dedicated server running
Xeon 3040 2.4Ghz, 1GB RAM, Litespeed Web server (enterprise version for dual core), MySQL 4.1, APC cache
Will this be sufficient for my situation? The server will host nothing else except these two Mint stats.

I thing Mint would handle 5 hits per second, but I’m not in charge. And I won’t worry about your server.
That would probably be sufficient.
Yap, runs 3 Mint actually with total of 16000 unique/hour and server load is only 0.55 0.42 0.51

No. The include must go in the <head> otherwise the document.write required by IE will replace your page content with nothing (!) in everyone’s favorite browser.
hmm, i just tested it on IE 5.0,5.5, IE 6.0, IE 7 and it loads just fine, i also tried in some other browser. please comfirm.

Is this still the case with IE7 & IE8?
Google Analytics e.g. is working that way (JS include in footer) and they recommend to place/defer the JS piece of code.

I do not know. This problem only affected a small subset of IE users and was hard to track down the exact reason.
