Why did mint stop counting visits?

Mint says I haven’t had any visits to my website in over 6 days but I have had many visits over the past 5 days. How do I trouble shoot this. It was counting them before now. Help?

I’m having the same problem, only using Feedburner Feedflares to track stats. I’m getting 1 out of every 10 or so visits actually showing. 90% of my visitors aren’t counted. How odd - any ideas on what to do?

It was working just fine as of this past Friday, but on Sunday it no longer was remotely accurate. I even tried upgrading to the new Mint to see if that was it, but the new Mint catches even fewer visitors.

Ack - I love my Mint - but I love my visitor stats too! Help me too? (:

@mhphouston: The Mint JavaScript include is nowhere to be found on your site. Did you recently update pages or a template that would explain its disappearance?

@Oriri: You have the opposite problem, you have two Mint JavaScript includes on your site.

Thank you for the response Shaun - I just added the second one today, thinking maybe the older one went AWOL. Oddly enough, after adding the second, the stats started showing back up. The newer one was added in the header. I’ll see about removing the older one; hopefully things will return to normal. (:

I had my webmaster install mint (www.bigfolio.com). I modify my website all the time. How do I do the The Mint JavaScript & how do I prevent it from being deleted again?

Add ?instructions to your Mint url for instructions on adding the Mint JavaScript include.

As for not deleting it in the future, that is a more generic web workflow question than Mint support. Just make sure that you are editing the most up-to-date version of any page on your site, usually the copy that is currently live on your site (eg. download from your server before editing, don’t use an older local copy).

I’ve actually been experiencing what appears to be the same problem. About two weeks ago the visits being counted dropped significantly. Monthly totals had begun to average in the high 30,000’s, but now, halfway through June, I’m only at 6,700.

Did you update Mint, a Pepper or other server software (PHP/MySQL) around that time?

Mine stopped 4 days ago, I upgraded today with the latest available updates but it still seems to be missing hits. I turned off the ignore my visits etc to try to get new hits in case my opinion of my site’s appeal was overblown. Still nothing. I have the js includes, I haven’t actually updated the site in a few days or maybe a week or so. There were some account access issues but nothing related to the DB. So I dunno.

Ok so I am noticing now that there are visits recorded but the data is only being recognized by the visits module, nothing else.

Any thoughts?
