I bought a mint licence the other day for my site vanillamints.com , I am wondering am I allowed to install mint on subdomains eg files.vanillamints.com with the same license or do I have to buy another?

You can use Mint to track traffic on all subdomains of the domain you bought the license for (this is covered in the FAQ).
