I bought Mint 1 about four months ago but I couldn’t put it to much use because it didn’t support my time zone.
Does this new Mint 2 support the Indian +5:30 GMT time zone? If it does, I could be tempted to consider the upgrade.

Unless I’ve forgotten a step from when I installed Mint 2, it seems time is now set in the preference section through local time pull down menu. So, right now mine reads 7:31 PM on Mar 11, 2007.
So, it appears that it should.
Hope this helps.
Thanks! This helped with the day light savings switch.
I’ve put up mint 2 on my domain, didn’t yet purchase the key, but there was a drop down preference for the timezone in the initial setup. I couldn’t find my local time in that list.
It’d be nice to get an official reply about this.
No, Mint 2 does not add support for +00:30 timezones.
Are there any plans to introduce 00:30 in timezones? Would very much appreciate having this feature as it is essential for us to track the page views correctly
regards,
Mahesh
No, there are no plans to add off-hour timezone offsets.
Being in a +9:30 timezone, it would be nice if off-hour timezones could be added.
