prevents Mint from tracking itself automatically

Okay, I am having some problems with preventing Mint from tracking itself. I read the ?instructions area, and kept getting an internal server error….there must be something I did wrong…can someone take a second to explain to me what the steps are, as they seem kinda confusing in the ?instructions area?

Thanks, Jacob

Create a .htaccess file in your /mint/ directory with the following:

php_value auto_prepend_file none

To do this apache needs to be running as a module. NOT a cgi. If its running as a cgi the advanced way won’t work.

Mint will always track hits to its login screen (so you know if someone has been snooping around). If you tell Mint to ignore your visits it won’t track you as you log in. Mint will never track you when you are viewing Mint.

David’s suggestion is only necessary if you used the advanced installations instructions.
