Incorrect Unique Totaling

I had this problem when I was using Mint 1 but I dismissed it as a problem when I had to rig my MySQL data upon import when I lost it. But I seem to be getting the same problem again. Mint seems to be incorrectly totaling my stats.

If you’ll look, the total unique in the past month is different from that of the past year and since the install date. Anyone have an idea as to why this is happening?

Just for some background information, I tossed all of my old MySQL databases when I installed Mint2 to prevent corruption.

I’m not sure if this is the same problem you are having since I don’t think it was a problem in Mint 1.

OK, now they are really off. 23 this past month, 19 this past year and 15 since the start of tracking. (Those figures are at the time of this posting.)

Hi Rockstr, I see the same issue as well. My grand total seems to be 500 less than what Past Week and Past Year show. However, I think this is an issue with the cookie tracking what a unique is exactly.

Incorrect Unique Totals

Yeah, that makes sense, but what seems odd is that it’s decreasing twice across the pane.

Sam is right. The problem is a result of reinstalling Mint. People who visited your site before you uninstalled and reinstalled Mint were still cookied but the new Mint install isn’t aware of their original visit.
