SecretCrush Name Issues

I am having the same problems as kristin. I have tried the couple different fixes that supposedly work, but they don’t. I as well get nothing different with the &errors.

I think I just found the problem. If you have not had anyone visit your site that has a cookie from your site, or Mint hasn’t picked it up, when you change the preferences in Mint, it will default back to IP Address. I was able to switch to sort by Hostname but when I attempted to switch to Name, alas it was defaulted back to IP Address.

Mine does exactly the same thing - wont stay on name. Any fixes?

For those experiencing Secret Crush Preferences not being saved, are changes to your other Preferences being saved? Are you clicking the “Done” button after making your change or just clicking the “View Mint” link (which won’t save your preferences)?

My other preferences are saving. I do click done and I can change from IP Address displaying to Hostname displaying, just not either one to Name displaying.

I have the same issue. Selecting name, clicking done, getting back to preferences - crushes didn’t stay on ‘name’ and falls back to ‘ip’. Nothing (but an blogcomments-pepper error) happens when i visit /?preferences&errors.

but i also have wordpress installed under www. domain .de. so i should have no hope seeing anything but an ip-adress or hostname, right?

Same here: blog is all no-www and WP and mint are both in root directory. Secret Crush preferences do not stick when I try to change to Name and all I ever see is inscrutable IPs. ;) Also, if I uninstall and reinstall the Pepper it defaults to Name, and if I change the session timeout value that does stick, except it also unfortunately changes Name to IP again, and then I can never change it back. Weird!

PS sorry, that is all with clicking either “Done” button, not just “View mint”; and all my other Pepper preferences stick happily.

I can even make the Secret Crush preference change irrevocably by itself away from Name by reordering the other panes around it, making sure never to touch the Secret Crush one itself, and then clicking “Done”. Voilą, I am now seeing IPs, and have to uninstall/reinstall to get Names back.

Yes, all my other prefs stick fine too, just this Name one which doesnt.

Hey all, give Secret Crush 2.05 (requires Mint 2.03) a try.

Improvement! But now the “Name/Hostname/IP Address” preference (nice idea) won’t stick: it reverts back to “Name/IP Address”. All the other preferences do stick now (but “Browser Family” just gives me a list of IP addresses).

Spoole, or anyone else in this thread, would you mind changing your Mint email/password to something you are comfortable sharing and emailing it to me so I can observe the problem first-hand? I can’t for the life of me figure out why this one Pepper won’t save its Preferences in these few instances.

Thanks for your help Spoole. Secret Crush 2.06 should fix this problem.

Thanks, it seems that fixed the name issue.
