We are trying to count the number of requests to our root ( / ) for different sub-domains which are tracked by mint. We got some numbers from our Apache logs that don’t match up with mint. Are the hits listed on the Page panel unique hits or the total amount of hits?

i’m not technical but if you’re using your apache logs to compare stats with mint, there will be a disparity.
i’m not sure if the hits you’re referring to (for mint) are daily or hourly. mint shows unique visits by the hour but the hourly unique visits will not total the daily unique visits because mint only counts the daily unique visit once.
