I have a recommendation for the tooltips to say “before” instead of “ago” on visits and visits diff. Does ago mean from the current date or the date shown in the bar graph?

In the visits diff pane, is the comparison to the same day 7 days ago. Meaning Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc are all compared to the same day which is 7 days before now? Or is is compared to 7 days before Monday, 7 days before Tuesday, etc?
Which one this it?
7 days ago from the today
or
7 days from each day listed
