Location no longer displaying after upgrade

After I upgraded from version 2.16 to 2.17, location, which hitherto displayed fine (I have been using Mint for four years) has stopped displaying.

All other data are still there though.

Any idea what could be causing this?

What does “has stopped displaying” mean?

@Till: Instead of displaying the location, it now displays “location unknown.”

Just to be clear, I’ve posted a screenshot here: http://emberapp.com/astorg/images/safari

Check the existence and file permissions of the database.dat file in the peppers directory. Maybe a link to your installation would be helpful.

@Till: What exactly do you mean by the “peppers” directory? I have a “pepper” directory, which is a sub-directory of the mint directory. This doesn’t contain a database.dat file.

Oh and the installation is on http://donaldjenkins.net/mint

Either you did not upload the database.dat file to pepper/tillkruess/locationsplus/ or the file is not readable by mint/php and you have to set up the file permissions (chmod).

@Till: Thanks, I had forgotten to do that, probably read the upgrade instructions with a rather distracted eye!
