howdy,

i currently track my domain and a sub domain. i got 2 licenses and put each mint install. in the correct root folder. on my sub domain it doesn’t count the unique visitors though. most people go from my main site to the sub, their visits appear just as hits.

how can i fix that?

A single installation can be used for primary and all subdomains. With two installations the subdomain will see the cookies set by Mint on the primary domain which can result in inaccurate unique visits on the subdomain.

i would understand it if i used example.com, but i use example.com. i guess mint sets the cookie to *.example.com, why?

i would really prefer to divide the stats, since i’d like to see w/ one click how much hits my old site gets, isn’t that possible?

Mint sets the cookie using .example.com so that both www.example.com and example.com can access it. It is not possible to divide the stats with Mint installed on the same domain twice.
