Can't get IP addresses in Downloads Pepper

Hello,

I’m using Mint to track mp3 and mov downloads and want to obtain the IP addresses of the downloadees. However, I’m using mint purely for downloads, not to track hits on actual pages, since our downloads are on a different domain. However, it seems the Downloads Pepper isn’t tracking IPs on its own. Can someone please help?

The Downloads Pepper tracks the ip address of every single download. What would you like to see?

Here is a link to a screen shot of my Mint. http://imgur.com/gwJmB.jpg

Where can I see IP addresses of the downloadees?

Currently nowhere except for the Secret Crush Most Recent Tab or in the mint_downloads table (by using a tool like PHPMyAdmin). What would you like to see on which tab?

In the Secret Crush most recent tab I only see three IP addresses from real page hits, but I have 109 total downloads today.

Adam, tell me what you’d exactly like to see on which pane : ) If its a good idea, I’ll add it : )

I’d like to see the IP addresses for the downloads in the Secret Crushes pane, and I thought I should be able to see them there, but the records don’t appear.

I talked to Shaun and he said something about registering the Downloads Pepper with the Secret Crush Pepper but I’m not sure what that means. Also is there anyway I can see unique downloads as well as total downloads for a file.

I did not implement this option, you could set up a own Mint installation just to track file requests (downloads). Referrers, Daily, Weekly downloads etc.

The other thing is the Secret Crush Pepper integration. I’d need a link to your installation to check if the Downloads Pepper is registered in the SC mini-API.

To ensure this, you can either reinstall the Downloads Pepper or if you’re an advanced user you could run the registration code from the onInstall() method manually.
