iPhone 3Gs and Mint App/iPhone Pepper?

Is the latest version of the iPhone Pepper working on the new iPhone 3Gs?

I installed the v120 pepper as per instructions successfully. But iPhone gives an error “No Mint statistics found”. I reset password and matched for both account and iPhone pepper, still no luck.

Can I get a confirmation that it works on this new version of the phone?

(Also, that little info button on the iPhone app is REALLY hard to hit. It seems to have too small of a target area and it takes several tries to hit it.)

Thanks.

it should be working fine, i’m using v120 with the 3gs without issue.

i’m not getting the connection between the 3gs and this app not working correctly. it should work the same way as it worked on your 2g or 3g no?

Thanks for the confirmation. I never had the previous phones. v120 a first time install to the site. I’m at a loss.

pw and site address with /mint correct. Email correct. Safari with OSX 10.5.7

But iPhone gives an error “No Mint statistics found”.

Are you talking about the iPhone Pepper or the Ego Helper Pepper? The iPhone Pepper optimizes your Mint installation for viewing in MobileSafari. The Ego Helper Pepper allows Ego.app, a native, third-party app, to display hit counts recorded by Mint. The error you described and the info button you mention lead me to believe you are referring to the latter (Ego.app). Or rather, that you should be referring to the latter.

Oh, I’m talking about this: http://tinyurl.com/mintappitms

Mint Stats by Edward Waller, available from the app store.

I guess it’s unrelated to the iPhone Pepper. The goal is to see my mint stats on my iPhone using an app, not Safari.

That’s not an official Mint application so I don’t offer support for it. Till’s link above (to the iPhone app’s developer’s site) is probably a good place to start.

how is the edward waller app better than the iphone v120 mint app? from what i can tell, it’s simply a quick summary of the visits pane. personally, the iphone v120 mint appears much better to me.

This iPhone v120 mint… Can anyone tell me where to find it? Sound interesting, but can’t find it.

Thanks!

Ah. I see. I already got that one. For some reason I assumed we were talking about an iPhone-app.

well there is an iphone app called mint stats. to be honest, i personally don’t see why someone would purchase it over the normal v120 iphone function for mint. i think the developer for mint stats has gone mia as well…

Purchase? It’s free :) ( iTunes link: http://tinyurl.com/mintstats )

That said, what it can display isn’t all that much. The iPhone Pepper 1.2 does a lot better in that department, since it of course displays all.

Can I just say that I stressed over getting a Mint icon on my iPhone screen for like two hours. Im OCD about stuff like that, sue me. Anyway, the detailed instructions posted by Shaun on his site led me to assume you needed to jailbreak. I’m not savvy enough (and also a big fat chicken) to attempt such hackery, so I resigned to the fact that my Mint “icon” would simply be a screencap of my login screen.

To my delight, when I went to add the page to my home screen, the lovely leaf just showed up like it does when you add eBay or other big name bookmarks. I’m sure most of you aleady knew this, but in case you didn’t…

if you really want to get crazy, you can give mint a custom .png file and that will appear on your home screen.
