I just installed Firefox 3.5b4 Mac and Mint works fine. What OS are you using?
I’m on Vista, it stopped to work 3 days ago.
The strange thing is: I just checked my Mint for the first time today and it worked like a charm. Though it’s still the same browser environment, same few extensions etc. I didn’t change anything at all. During the last 3 days, the Mint page came up, but not the pane contents… Other heavy JS pages worked fine (Gmail).
Have you been installing/uninstalling Firefox extensions? If it happens again, go to your Mint Preferences, disable “Stagger Pane Loading” and then revisit Mint using the ?errors query command.
Thanks, I’ll try that.
I didn’t change anything with the extensions. The only thing I could imagine is that the filter list I’m using for the Adblock Plus extension got in the way.
Also, I added two test pages shortly before it stopped working where the html title was the same. So for a while Mint tracked 3 different urls with the same title.
Am experiencing same problem FF 3.5 for Win Vista. Very slow load of the page
Similar thing happening for me. The rightmost column in Preferences never loads. This prevents me from making theme changes, etc, since nothing can be saved before the page is finished loading, but it never finishes.
This is on a MacBook Pro, on Safari 4, and Firefox 3.5.
kalvin do you have “Stagger pane loading” enabled in your Mint Preferences?
Bren you are experiencing a completely different issue. The last time you updated you likely forgot to delete the /peppername_old/ directories or uploaded the same Pepper into two different developer directories. Add &errors to your Preferences url and you should see a PHP fatal error pinpointing the source of the problem.
