500 Internal Server Error

After moving to a new host I get a 500 Internal Server Error when i try to open my Mint page.

This site was transferred by the someone else, and the directions in the Switching hosts? sticky were basically followed but not 100%. Mint wasn’t upgraded before the move, and I don’t know if the auto_increment columns followed. Both mint__config and mint_visit tables are in the new database, and everything else appears to be installed correctly.

Where should I check for to see if the auto_increment columns are ok? Could they create the 500 error, or there something else I should look at?

Thanks for your help. Colin

My host found the solution - in case anyone else has this problem, the php_value in the .htaccess file (in the mint folder) needed to be moved to a php.ini file in the same folder.

Phew.

For those who didn’t quite get cgl’s correct response the first time around, like me, what is meant is that you need to name the file—inside the Mint directory—containing the php_value command to “php.ini” instead of .htaccess.

Some PHP Apache servers do not allow php values to be contained in .htaccess files. Simply rename that file to “php.ini” and everything should be fine (I think).

Hi, thanks a lot for your suggestion. I have fixed renaming htaccess with php.ini too! Works fine now.

Thanks, E.
