Mint + Wordpress 2.7

I just xferred and upgraded to the latest mint. Installed on a WP 2.7 install where it seemed to go fine, when I viewed the homepage. I then tried to navigate the site and none of the subpages would show up - was getting 404s for every single page on the site.

Uninstalled all Peppers, but still had same issue. Uninstalled Mint and now everything works fine. Has anyone else experienced this? What might be the cause and more importantly, the solution to this?

After the uninstall, I tried another install. All seems to work fine now. Not sure why the URLs got borked, but the site seems to function normally now.

Upgrading Mint should have no impact on your Wordpress install or anything outside of the Mint directory.

i have a similar problem but it is the server compatability page that it managed to set as my homepage and it wont let me navigate away from it, and i am trying to remove it so that i can see my site.

All Mint files should be uploaded in their own directory (/mint/ or /mint-scs/ respectively). It should go without saying that you should not upload Mint (or the compatibility suite) index.php over your existing index.php.

To extend upon what Shaun said, in a working wordpress + mint installation, your website root should look like this:

  • .htaccess
  • index.php (Wordpress)
  • wp-*.php
  • /mint
  • /wp-content
  • /wp-admin
  • /wp-includes

In addition, there are several plugins available (disclaimer: one written by me) to connect wordpress and mint.
