Stuck in install loop

After 3 years of my Mint installation working perfectly, today it suddenly produced what appears to be an install screen. It want me to accept the EULA. When I do that I’m prompted to create a user account. Following that screen it goes back to the EULA acceptance screen again.

I have done nothing to this installation recently. The last updates were several months ago, and then only to peppers.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Help! Mark

I’ve tried most of the ? commands - each one returns me to the EULA acceptance page.

Any ideas at all?

This has been resolved.

I ran phpMyAdmin and selected all the Mint tables and then did a repair on those tables.

I’m not sure what it repaired, but now Mint is working perfectly again.

Strange.

there are many reasons for database corruption. you should’ve checked them before repairing.
