Where Do I Acquire an API?

I have a client using Mint and I’ve implemented the µMint plugin for Wordpress.

I’ve chosen to use µAPI and uploaded the appropriate pepper to the peppers folder in Mint. However, in the µMint Management Page in the Wordpress dashboard, it’s asking me for an API key.

I feel silly asking, like it should be really obvious or something, but it’s not… so help me, I’ve searched high and low, but I can’t find where this API exists for me to enter.

Anyone? :) Thank you!

Mint does not have or require an API key. Might want to ping that particular Pepper developer.

I’m having the same confusion with this pepper

Okay you get the API key from within Mint preferences once you’ve successfully installed the pepper.

It doesn’t seem to work though!

Sorry, I missed this first time around:

You need to create a unique key (maybe md5 something) and enter it in the pepper configuration. Then whenever you use a client, you need to provide the key to authorize requests.

@Shaun: The uAPI pepper is one of the “hacky” APIs until you implement a proper RESTful API for Mint (hint, hint).
