Since upgrading it whenever I try to go to the Preferences area, 9 times out of 10 the browser times out.
This is using Safari on OS X 10.4

Try adding &errors to the url of your Preferences and checking in a browser (Firefox perhaps) that won’t timeout. You should see some error messages. Let me know what you find.
Adding &errors (example.com/mint/?preferences&errors) doesn’t show anything in Firefox (or Safari) other than the actual Preferences.
I’m noticing that whenever I uninstall a pepper my server load skyrockets.
Okay, I am getting the following error now:
Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/the47app/public_html/mint/app/lib/mint.php on line 1591
That comes when uninstalling a Pepper.
Any Pepper. I uninstalled probably 8-10 peppers and it either timed out (Safari & Firefox) or would spit out that Notice when it would finally uninstall.
How big is your database? If you add &advanced to your preferences url you should see the size in the bottom left of the Preferences window.
Sorry to hijack this thread, but I would just like to note that I received that error earlier tonight with a different line number when trying to install Bird Feeder.
As you guys are adding newer Pepper, you aren’t keeping the older versions around in a renamed folder in the pepper directory are you?
That would definitely confuse Mint which is tries to load all Pepper in the pepper directory—because the old and new version of the Pepper would have identical classNames.
No, I have not done that. And I guess I should clarify. I received the error during the second part of the installation in my feed. Mint worked and has continued to work fine. It’s just when I added the BirdFeeder PHP stuff is when I got that error.
Shaun, my DB is ~174MB.
A few weeks ago I was having an issue with certain stats resetting, and so per your suggestion I removed the cap on the DB size: haveamint.com/retired/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1849
