ExpressionEngine Pages not being tracked

I use ExpressionEngine as a CMS. One of the feature is a Pages module, where “static” pages can be created. Essentially, you create a page within a weblog as you would a normal dynamic entry, only you can assign it a custom URL.

I have one page on my site created using that method. It is the only page not being tracked by Mint. The site is here, the page in question is here.

As I have been testing I notice that if I start on the page at the beginning of a session, then move to another page, it will show the referrer as the page (in other words, “From /page”). But the page itself isn’t tracked on visits.

I’m not too sure where to begin, so please let me know any details I need to provide. I also have this question open at the EE forum, as I suspect it has something to do with how Pages redirect.

Your Mint is returning a “503 Service Temporarily Unavailable” error when trying to record a hit on those pages. This could be the result of an overzealous mod_security setting. Please see this thread.

Yessir, that did the trick. Thanks!

Quick question—how did you find that out? I was looking for any obvious errors and the only thing I could think of was adding the #Mint:debug url parameter to the page in question, which didn’t seem to do anything.

#Mint:Debug (note the capital D) requires that you turn off pop-up blockers as it opens the debug output in a new window.

Hmmm…I actually had my pop-up blockers off when I tried it.

…hang on, I just figured out that #Mint:Debug doesn’t work if Mint is set to ignore visits. :)
