mint has crashed again

Hey Guys,

I’m a big mint fan and have been running it on clients and personal ones since ver 1. I’ve never had any issues with mint, unless its running on a high traffic site.

I have 2 clients, both in the 12000k pageviews per day range. One runs mint on the same server, the second I admin, and have mint running from a separate server.

I admin the second site and I’ve encountered repeated failures with mint in the past months.

The most recent I can’t figure out how to fix and may result in me removing it. Mint is still tracking page views and uniques, but not tracking hosts, referrals. basisly its only tracking those 2 numbers.

With the other client - mint died awhile ago. We luckily use google as well as an inhouse system, but mint ( IMHO ) had the truest stats and best delivery.

If someone knows how to resolve this it would be great.

Also I’ve mentioned this elsewhere, but you can avoid alot of the “mint’s db is corrupted” messages by changing the text columns to blob in the mint_config table. once I did that we never had another one,at one point we were getting one per day for 3 days.

Thanks in advance,

Sid

I only see one license associated with this account. Is your second (and client licenses) under a separate account?

Hi Shaun, This account is for my own license, each client has their own account / license.

More directly, where are the Mint installations you are having issues with? I can’t debug what I can’t see. Feel free to use the contact form if you can’t share the url publicly.

I’m having the exact same issues. lufkintexas.org/mint is where the major issue is. We get page visits and locations and that is about it. All other stats are not showing up. Are they still being recorded??

masseym, your mint_visit database table is missing a column the Secret Crush Pepper needs (session_checksum). As a result, recording visits is failing which prevents the hit from being recorded. Try uninstalling/reinstalling that Pepper.
