Using Feedburner & BirdFeeder Concurrently

Is it possible? Reason being is that I want to try using BirdFeeder without messing up my Feedburner stats (been using FB since… July ‘05). If not, I guess I’ll take the leap anyway.

I would also like to know this. My Feeds are showing blank in Mint, and Feedburner hasn’t updated the figures for yesterday/today, I’m worried Mint is affectiny my RSS feed.

Hey, Shaun commented on this issue in this post (http://www.haveamint.com/forum/trouble … ird_feeder) and said that he wasn’t even sure if this could be done properly.

Theoretically though, you could and least use Bird Feeder for click tracking, you just may not be able to track the number of subscribers you have, although, that’s probably what you’re using FeedBurner for anyways, correct? FeedBurner would probably be the only “subscriber” that shows up, so you’d have 1 listed in your Feeds section.

For me, I’m just about ready to ditch FeedBurner altogether as I’m only using it to track how many subscribers I’ve got. Bird Feeder can do this nicely for me, and I think I’d rather have all my stats in one place.

Yeah I read that post after I did this one. I’m mainly using Feedburner to track subscriber numbers but it seems to minimise how I can use the feeds and I’m not sure if there is a delay in updating it. But until BirdFeeder is compatible with Wordpress I’m stuck using FeedBurner.

Hey guys,

I’m using FeedBurner and BirdFeeder both on my WordPress blog. I’ve got the FeedBurner Wordpress plugin (which routes all my feed traffic through FeedBurner) as well as my Bird Feeder plugin installed which ads Bird Feeder seed tracking to the feed links (prior to them being processed by Feedburner).

Wow, that sounded more complicated than it is, but hopefully it made sense.

Basically, in the end, FeedBurner gives me circulation stats, while the Bird Feeder gives me seed tracking data.

Does the Feeds pane display Feedburner’s stats?

I prefer BirdFeeder much more than the Feedburner Pepper. Is it possible to combine the results of both in BirdFeeder in the future?

wenwon, I’m not sure what you’re looking to do. Visually, the Feedburner Pepper and BirdFeeder are the same. It’s been confirmed already that it is not possible to use the Feedburner service and BirdFeeder concurrently. Therefore, if you prefer BirdFeeder, what are you looking to include from Feedburner?
