Where are the pageviews?

I’ve had Mint since May, and it’s a good piece of statistics software. :)

However I have been looking for the total amount of pageviews/impressions that I’ve had.

I am assuming that the “Total” under “Visitors” should actually be “Page impressions” since that figure pretty much matches what Google Analytics tells me - but why is there a “Total” under Users if it is not Total visits?

Am I th eonly one who is confused by this…?

Here are my stats for last week’s visits:

Past Week Total Unique Saturday 8,289 2,059 Friday 11,611 3,003 Thursday 12,241 3,214 Wednesday 7,912 2,491 Tuesday 11,268 3,238 Monday 10,098 3,186

Am I correct when I assume that the “Total” under visits should be “Pages”?

Yeah.

The ‘Total’ column shows the impressions (often known as ‘hits’), while the ‘Unique’ column shows the unique visits (sometimes known as ‘sessions’, with the timeout varying between a few minutes to a few hours depending on the stats software).

As you probably know, the impressions will show you how many times your pages have been loaded regardless of any other factors, while the unique visits will apply a timer to each person that visits so they can’t be counted twice within X amount of time (usually around the region of 30 minutes).

The visits will usually be fairly consistent between applications as long as they use similar timeout figures, but impressions can very gigantically if you use something like AWStats that reads your server logs and thus includes direct hits to images/etc as impressions.

Yeah, I figured as much.

In other stats programs it’s pretty common to have a “unique users” for, say, 24 hours, and one called “Total users” (or so) with a session time of 20 minutes or so.

I guess the lack of a “total visits” (number of visits) vs “unique” (ie total people who visit in a give period).

No gripes though, I love my mint!
