Remote API?

I run most of my Mint instances from a single server. The actual sites being tracked are on a different server.

I’ve written a few Peppers that report on server-specific data, but I have no easy way to get that info into the remote database. Examples are performance stats, or daily sales counts.

It would be great to have an API that can be called remotely to pump data into the native Mint tables, or even into other custom tables made by my Pepper.

Is anyone doing this kind of thing?

Or, would it be easier to generate an RSS or XML feed on the non-Mint server that is read by a special Pepper? The downside is that it might slow down Mint since reading a remote RSS would be slower than just pulling data out of a local database.
