I’m attempting to create a Yahoo! Widget - but not getting very far, so just an idea for anyone looking to build something quick.

Take a look at Minty. Its author (Ricky Romero) will release a new version as soon as possible.

Anyway, I wrote him a few days ago and he sent me the modified code. I modified by myself its asthetics so it looks like the new Junior Mint now. Just be patient until he release the new version :)

The widget seems broken for me. It shows the number of unqiues, right on top of the word “uniques”.

I am having a problem with the Yahoo Minty widget. It seemed fine for a while, then all of a sudden it changed from showing total hits and uniques to just the daily hits and uniques. Now all it says is “Talking to Mint…” and rarely ever connects, and when it does it is still only showing daily hits and uniques. I upgraded to Yahoo Widgets v4.0.3 (build 178) the other day, could that be the culprit?

I, too, am having trouble with Minty. All it ever shows is “Talking to Mint…”

I’m using Mint 1.27 and Minty 1.03 (The download is labeled 1.03, but the about dialog shows 1.02?), and I’m on Yahoo Widget Engine 4.0 (build 168).

Personally I use Mint 2.11, Minty 1.03 (dialog shows 1.02) and Yahoo Widget Engine 4 and everything works fine! Maybe you should try an older version of Minty!

I had version 1.0 of Minty and had similar issues and upgraded to Minty 1.03 via Peppermill. Eventually I’ll get around to upgrading my Mint installation to 2.x and maybe the widget will start working again.
