Fresh View fsockopen error

Got an error:

Fresh View 1.11 received an error attempting to retrieve the SVG graph via fsockopen(): No such file or directory (2)

I believe the error began when I upgraded to Mint 2.12. Upgrading Fresh View from 1.1 to 1.11 revealed the more detailed error above.

I am running mint off a subdomain. What else may be causing this and how can I fix it?

Any help appreciated.

I’m not sure Fresh View works with Mint 2. Does anyone else know?

Not sure what your problem may be adollar28cents, but Fresh View definitely works for me with Mint 2.

Mr. Brown: apparently Fresh View does not work for you:

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /mint/pepper/kylerove/freshview/graph_fetch.php on line 149

Or perhaps this is a browser issue? Ah, yes. My mint Fresh View works in Camino. So now what can I do to have it work in Firefox?

You may need the Adobe SVG Plugin. See Fresh Views Recommended Browsers page for a link.

I did have Firefox 2 installed, so I removed it and all my preferences and plugins. I reinstalled everything one at a time and now the problem is solved… Clearly something was corrupted. Thanks for helping me solve my issue.
