Activation and installation scripts do nothing, endless loop

I put in email, pass, and activation code. It goes to the next screen, instructs me how to insert the js into my site and then I click the done button at which time it goes to a screen asking me to read the license and check a box. I check the box click the button and it goes right back to the beginning prompting for an activation code. This process is a never ending loop.

I have the db settings configured properly, using the same settings I’m successfully using for my PHP application I’m tracking with MINT (or trying to that is). :)

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

How did your server fare with the Compatibility Suite?.

I have the same problem. The Compatibility Suite checks out fine.

MIG seems to have gotten it working, although their server is incorrectly serving their CSS as HTML so Mint is unstyled. What was the source of the initial problem MIG?

Stinson, can you check your database using a tool like PhpMyAdmin? Are you certain that all files have been completely uploaded?

I had it working and then it created a list of the plugins (which I didn’t re-install at the time). Rather than delete the plugins I installed them but then it didn’t work.

I got to the prefs screen and tried to restore the older settings but now I’m stuck in the loop.

What Pepper are you trying to install? Did you try re-adding them one at a time? It’s likely that a single Pepper is responsible for the problem and the only way to identify which one is the cause is methodical trial and error.

Tried it and still on the same loop. Thought it might be the feeder folder and file because I didn’t update that but it wasn’t.

Not really sure what to do.

What do you mean? Your data is accessible at the same url where you installed Mint. Did you follow the installation instructions after the database was created (adding the Mint JavaScript to the pages on your site)? If not, visit your Mint Preferences and hit the “Instructions” button in the top right.

I meant my old data. Sorry. I have a google site and can see the previous months activity well enough.

My current mint install is collecting new data. Thanks.

I meant a google web analytics view of previous data.
