i recently upgraded one of my installations to mint 2.16. i updated the locations pepper only to find out that mint could not locate the locations pepper anymore. i verified that it was in the proper folder and then i had to uninstall it. when i went to re-install it, the pepper doesn’t show up in the “install” window. anyone know what’s going on?

Weird, I deleted the /locations/ folder and uploaded a fresh one and it worked.

hey there my friend. i don’t get it, i downloaded two fresh copies and tried the same action with no result. thanks.

I just had the same problem. After a bit o fiddling around it was to do with permissions on the folders in the ZIP file.

can you be more specific? what exactly did you change?

Change the permissions of all files in locations directory to 644.

Worked for me.

the only problem i’m having now is that the “most recent” tab of locations plus is not working, i’m not getting any information. did you have this issue?

wenwon, is it empty or does it not update? did you try the ?errors command?

Mine works fine, I can see all the recent activity.

Ah, if you’re using Locations v2.36 or Locations+ v1.04, but not Secret Crush v2.12 my Pepper won’t find the ip_long column. Just use a older version of my Pepper and wait for the next release.
