iPhone Pepper Logout Issue

Hi all,

Whenever I use mint on iPhone and click on a tab (e.g. Visits Overview -> Past Day), the program logs me out (I get the login required screen). Do I have to login every time I click on a tab, is this an iPhone issue?

I have Mint 2.16 and the following Peppers: Default, Backup/Restore, Real Estate, Secret Crush, User Agent 007, Visits Diff and iPhone

Anybody else having the same problem? Thanks for any advice.

Hi Till,

Accept Cookies is set to Always. I tried hard resetting the phone, clearing the history, cookies and cache, but the same logout problem still occurs.

My iPhone has the firmware version 1.1.4. Interestingly, a friend of mine tested mint on his iPhone (version 1.1.3) and everything seemed to work fine there.

All my software (iPhone and Mint) is up to date and I’m not having any issues with my iPhone. Are you experiencing this problem with Mint in a desktop browser?

Is your phone jailbroken? If so you need to ssh into it and set permissions on the cookies folder and plist.

This would affect all cookie sites though too for example it would log you out of gmail as well.

You should not have to jailbreak your iPhone to enable MobileSafari to set cookies.

If you’re suggesting that the jailbreaking process messes up the permissions on the cookies folder and plist, I can also confirm that that is not necessarily true either. My iPhone is jailbroken (and unlocked) and I’ve never had a problem with cookies.

Yes, I was saying that jailbreaking does mess it up, for me a least. I think this only started happening with 1.4 but there is now a fix that can be found here. http://tinyurl.com/47qsmt

There are a few other ways to fix it too. http://tinyurl.com/5g44pa

I had this problem with my iPhone and my friends. Maybe it only happens if you jailbreak it a certain way. I used pwnage tool.
