Local Searches and Google Custom Search

Is it possible to set up Local Searches so that it tracks searches that are done through the Google Custom Search Box that is set up on my page? If so, what are the required settings?

Example Search Result URL (Search is for “test”): google.com/custom?domains=www.didntyouh … %3A1&hl=en

This works fine on my site, but I have configured the Custom Search to return to a page within my site, which means that mint can track it ok (rather than return the users to google.com, which you are doing).

No, searches performed on another site are not tracked by the Local Searches Pepper.

Wow! I never really thought about it, as I set up that Google Search so long ago, but it was taking people off of my site and onto Google (Sort of). Thanks for the heads up!

However, I’m now trying to get Local Searches to work with the search results appearing on my site instead of Google, and I’m still in need of a bit of help.

Example (new) Search Result URL (Search is still for “test”): didntyouhear.com/search/?domains=www.di … 3A11&hl=en

What are the settings I want to use now?

Thanks!

Path: /search/ Query: q

This should work for you if the URL above is your search page.

degsy, I just confirmed that works like a charm (on my own custom search engine). As long as the results are delivered on your own site, I had to imagine it’d work. The confusing part for me was the long ‘ol string of text prior to the actual q (and wondering if any of that was session info, specific to google). Although I’m a whole month after you’ve posted, my thanks is offered.
