For those that like to track their Google Page Rank, this pepper will list your most popular pages and the corresponding page rank. Uses caching to reduce the hits to Google servers since pagerank does not change frequently.

This has been created for Mint 1 since I don’t have Mint 2 yet, but it doesn’t do anything exotic, so it should still work. Once I have the new Mint installed, I’ll take care of any errors that anyone finds.

I had problems unarchiving with BOMArchiveHelper and The Unarchiver, but it worked in Stuffit fine.

Anyways, installed it in Mint 2. King but it seems to be looking for an image that wasn’t in the archive (ernieoporto/prank/prN/A.gif)…and the pagerank doesn’t display It also takes quite a while to load, but I don’t think this is because of the pepper.

I’ll be keeping track of this one, I’m definitely interested in this

This looks pretty sweet… though, it would be even sweeter if we could track PR over time. Any chance of that on a future upgrade? :)

Updated to 102 to fix an icon that I mistakenly saved as jpg instead of gif.

Also please note that mint saves URLS as domainname.tld rather than domainname.tld. There is a comment in the above article with the download link that mentions a change in the .htaccess at the root of your site needed for google to see the two URLs as the same pagerank. If you are seeing domainname.tld with one pagerank and domainname.tld with ZERO pagerank, you need the above change. It takes about a week or so for the Googlebot to correct this.

I’ll add it to the feature list for the next update.

Shokk, the two PHP files in this Pepper both have whitespace after the final closing ?>. This is breaking a number of Mint installs. Anyone experiencing problems staying logged in to Mint or with an equal number of Total and Unique hits should uninstall this Pepper until an update is released.

Shokk, please release an update that omits the final closing ?> in both files. I know it sounds like sloppy coding but it is recommended when dealing with includes (see the note on this page on PHP.net) for this very reason.

Yeah, it’s kind of silly. Like much of PHP. :)
