Alternative to Outclicks

Is there an alternative to Outclicks? Mine’s been broken for ages now and I don’t how to fix it, or get hold of the developer, who has stopped developing it.

Hey, I’m the developer of Outclicks. I’m sorry I have not been keeping current with Outclicks. All my development has been drawn away to other projects in the last few months. Today Ronald Heft sent me an email and there’s a possibility that he will be picking up Outclicks development where I left off. Hopefully soon we’ll all have a nice up-to-date Outclicks plugin again.

As you see I’ve been talking with the developer of Outclicks, Andrew. I’m planning on bringing Outclicks up to speed with Mint 2 this week. I’m not exactly a JavaScript whiz, so we’ll see what I can do. I’m not making any promises, but hopefully I can find the incompatibilities with Mint 2.

If anyone out there has some spare time and is proficient with Javascript, let me know. I may need your help during the week.

This is great news :-) Thanks guys.

Sorry, I can’t offer you any help with the javascript.

Cool, thats good news Ron.

However, I was unaware that Outclicks was no longer working. I just recently installed it on a new Mint 2.0 install and it is working fine for me?!

Looking over the code, I’ve already identified a couple of problems which are most likely causing grief for people. I would say the bulk of people using the old Outclicks don’t currently have issues with it, but we can always improve.

Nice, look forward to your updates.

What is the status of this? I tried installing the old outclicks, but it wasn’t working for me. Using Mint 2.1 here…

Well, I’m no longer handling the updated Outclicks. I can confirm there will be a new Outclicks, but I don’t know when as that’s up to the person working on it.

Would love if this actually happened sometime - and am willing to help fund that process. Anyone actually doing work on this, contact me at dotfive.com. Thanks;)

You guys can now grab the Outbound Pepper.

Is there anyway to hook Outbound into Secret Crush? I believe Outclicks used to incorporate with the predecessor to Secret Crush in a way that would allow you to see each page a visitor went to as well as when and where they clicked out to all in one list.
