from 2.01 to 2.04 everything messed up

I followed the directions to update from a previous version of mint 2 to 2.04, but when i replace the app folder the whole mint installation breaks, and all my info is presented in a single column white html layout. I have gone back to the previous app folder version, but would love to update to the newest release

any advice on how to remedy this situation?

Have you followed the section on replacing/moving the ‘styles’ folder?

Sorry, what i should really have said is have you uploaded the new styles folder to the correct directory?

As finny said, you have not uploaded the /styles/ folder from the root mint directory that you downloaded. Your directory structure should look like this

/mint/app/
/mint/config/
/mint/index.php
/mint/pepper/
/mint/styles/

I swithched the styles directory to be correct (you were right i had it messed up) added the massive blue theme folder to the styles folder and then refreshed the mint page, same layout but now with the blue theme, i switched to the vanilla mint theme and all is fine…

does that mean something is wrong with the compatibility of the massive blue style with 2.04?

Sam (who posted above) from Massive Blue has posted a 2.04 compatible version in the PepperMill
