Viewing older data

I notice that the “Keep data for X weeks” item is gone from the configuration area. Does this mean that Mint stores all detail perpetually, rather than wiping all but the calculated numbers after so long (at least, that’s how I figured Mint 1 worked)?

If so, is there any reason we couldn’t have a small button or something at the bottom of appropriate panels that brings in the earlier 18 (or whatever is configured) rows, allowing one to go back through older stats?

I understand the “fresh look” mantra of Mint and all, but it’s always useful to be able to view older data should you need to — especially if it’s there anyway. And if not, perhaps storing or not storing that older data could be an option? It’d certainly be useful for sites that exceed 18 rows of data an hour and that type of thing, and you’d like to see what went on a few hours ago for whatever reason.

I also thought about this, because I simply stored the locations inside the database… but I’d like to track the geographical data permanent.

So the whole Visits-Pane is stored permanently, but all the rest will be deleted.

By default Mint expires data in excess of 25 MB or older than 5 weeks—whichever comes first. You can change these settings using the ?preferences&advanced query command but increasing either limit can affect performance negatively depending on your traffic.
