Lessn URL instead of Referrer?

Any idea how to change Lessn code to showcase the Lessn URL generated instead of the URL/Referrer? I need to know the hits on each lessn URL I generated. Thanks

Hi Guys

I’m looking into a pepper that shows each page visits over a period of 7 days, with each day on it’s on! Like Bit.ly does.

Any ideas? is it doable with the mint API?

Really starting to worry that mint is dead. I like the product, but a big part of its value is the ability to use 3rd party plugins.

The developers forum has not had any posts in 4 weeks, last post before that was 8 weeks ago, then 11 weeks. So are there any active developers still?

That’s a major concern, as no developers means no updates or support. And the Downloads pepper clearly needs both.

Anyone? I really need to get tracking up for a downloadable, and this plugin not working is a major issue.

I’m not seeing a lot of activity on the forums… has everyone moved on to another analytics platform?

Anyone run into this issue before? I know a lot of people with mint running as a sub-domain (mint.mysite.com), and the assets living elsewhere (www.mysite.com/asset.zip) have run into issues where even with force and remote setup a request loop is created.

But the issue with it not even tracking when tracker.php is hit with all the required values defined is a real problem.

My problems started when this pepper created an infinite loop, even when “force” was passed as a query string parameter.

I ended up defining the following in my .htaccess file, which seems to work (for the request)

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} !force
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ [http://mint.mysite.com/pepper/tillkrues … rue&remote](http://mint.mysite.com/pepper/tillkruess/downloads/tracker.php?url=http://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI}?force=true&remote)

The problem is that noting is ever tracked by the pepper. The only file type I am tracking is “zip” and I have both “Compare the size of the file on every record.” and “Allow remote file tracking (using the &remote querycommand).” checked.

Even manually hitting the URL http://mint.mysite.com/pepper/tillkrues … rue&remote does not add any tracking data. The redirect works, but that’s it.

Any suggestions?

I wish I could see my stats from prior than 12 months ago… is there a pepper that can help with this, or should I hack together something?

Update - I found that the Index file, the config file, and items in the Pepper folders were all affected. I did not isolate which pepper/plugins, as my main priority was needing to get the stats back up for a report.

I’m having this issue as well now. When I try to access Mint on one of my domains, I automatically get redirected somewhere else. The rest of the site is clean (so far, it is a Wordpress site that I secured after having it injected with Malware in the past).

I have no idea as to an answer, though.

Textpattern and Bird Feeder Pepper

I know, this is a known topic and i found a solution by Ramanan from 2007 (http://funkaoshi.com/debug/using-bird- … extpattern) posted here at the Mint and at the Textpattern Forum, but today in 2012 with Textpattern 4.4.1 together with Mint 2.19 the solution doesn’t work any more.

Is there a general solution available or a new fix out?

I use .htaccess to forward www links to non-www links. Do I need to put both domains in the domains option in preferences? If so, how do I list them? If not, is there anything else I need to do to make sure all traffic is logged?

For those that experience a similar problem.

Made sure the latest database.dat update had the correct permissions 644 (/mint/pepper/tillkruess/locationsplus)
Changed Secret Crush to identify visitors by IP Address only.
Checked it out and Locations+ seemed to work after that.
I changed Secret Crush back to identifying visitors by Name, Hostname and IP Address and it continued to work.

I really don’t know why, but this worked for me and I hope it helps someone else out.
